Actor Conner Floyd chatted about his Lifetime movie “She Inherited Danger,” and starring in “The Young and The Restless.”

‘She Inherited Danger’

In the Lifetime film “She Inherited Danger,” a young woman inherits her grandfather’s theater and plans to sell it, but things get dangerous when she changes her mind and decides to re-open the beautiful landmark property herself. Floyd stars alongside Sarah Fisher.

“It was great experience for me,” he admitted. “I got to go back to my college roots in the good ole state of Oklahoma and film. Peter Foldy, who directed the film, is a good friend of mine too. So collaborating with him was wonderful.”

“Everyone in the cast was amazing and getting to know them and working with them was a great experience as well. Plus, my character got to drive around an old VW van so I was a big fan of that,” he added.

2nd anniversary on ‘The Young and The Restless’

Later this year, Floyd will be celebrating his second anniversary on the hit CBS daytime drama “The Young and The Restless,” where he has played the role of Chance Chancellor. “My experience has been very educational,” he said. “It has raced by too. It’s been a hell of a ride so far and I’m sure it will continue to be that way.”

“I have learned so much working with this fantastic cast and crew and I want to continue to soak up as much knowledge as I can from everyone involved. Everyone is a pro here, a veteran, and I want to emulate  that as much as possible,” he elaborated.

Advice for hopefuls in acting

For young and aspiring actors, he said, “I feel like I’m still looking for stellar advice at this point. But something that I find beneficial is working on your daily acting routine.”

“There is always exercises to do, scripts to read, craft to be mastered. Don’t sit around and wait for the work, find something you can do everyday that will make you better. Then when you get on set you’re ready to rock,” he explained.

“Also, find some actors who are in positions you would like to be in and learn from them,” he added.

The digital age

On being an actor in the digital age, Floyd said, “It’s pretty wild because there is so much content. There are so many platforms. There are a lot of ways to get in front of an audience and as an actor, that’s fantastic.”

“It is also a great opportunity to create your own content, so I am trying to take advantage of this era for sure,” he added.

On the current SAG-AFTRA and Writer’s Guild of America strike, he expressed, “I stand in solidarity with my fellow SAG members as well as the WGA. I hope it all gets resolved soon.”

Success

Regarding his definition of the word success, Floyd said, “Success for me is being better than I was yesterday.”

Thanks the fans

For his fans and viewers, he concluded, “I love all y’all! Thank you for the support, thank you for the love. I feel it and I am so appreciative. And buckle up cause we got a long way to go.”
